UnitingCare Tasmania

UnitingCare Tasmania has a united suite of services including:
• Child Care—Scots Child Care in the south and Pilgrim Child Care in the north
• Emergency Relief and financial counselling in Bridgewater/Gagebrook, Kingston, as well as a travelling Op Shop (TOP Shop) servicing the central highlands and southern midlands
• Family Reunification and Pregnant and Young Parents Support operating in the north
• NEWPIN (New Parent Infant Network) in three capacities: centre-based, outreach and prison programs.

Combined, we have about 80 staff across the state with an annual operating budget of more than $4 million, providing services to over 1300 families and individuals. We are governed by a Board comprised of community and church representatives. Lindy O’Neill was appointed as the CEO of UnitingCare Tasmania in November 2008. We also have a Family Services Manager, Child Care Directors (north and south), and a committed team of staff and volunteers.
UnitingCare Tasmania is a growing and changing organisation. We are constantly seeking new ways to support families, children and communities across Tasmania.
